The Knox County Election Commission is processing thousands of requests for absentee voting on Aug. 6 and also is recruiting additional poll officials to work polling places and an absentee ballot counting board.
“They’re going crazy,” said Elections Administrator Chris Davis, speaking of those requesting ballots to vote by mail.
