My name is Melonie. I’m just a citizen. I do not work in politics and I am not a professional protester. I was not paid to create this. I am not affiliated with any group. I own a web design agency. MailTheVote.US is my way of contributing using my talents and resources.
This is what a nasty woman left to her own devices does in her spare time under quarantine.
The first protest I’d ever participated in was The Women’s March on Washington in 2017. My background is a single teen mom, now with an adult daughter in her tender 20’s. I was the first in my family to graduate from college. A granddaughter of immigrants – not Mexican. A Mexican American – I understand that might be confusing.
When I heard these words from a reality TV actor running for president, “grab her by the pussy”
I was sure I knew America’s heart. What would they want for their own daughters? After all… Clinton and the blue dress. When the reality TV actor secured the electoral vote I resolved that the most important thing I would do in my life was march in Washington with my daughter. So we did.
In ever year since, I have marched for women’s rights against the most dangerous and disgusting President in history.
I deserve better.
You deserve better.
Our daughters and sons deserve better.

I have always voted by mail. It’s easy to do in California, a mail vote state, where you simply check a box on voter registration. After recently moving to Nevada I learned about absentee ballots. Voting is our right and the foundation of a healthy democracy. No one should ever have to risk their health or life to vote. Or put up with the inconvenience of taking time off work to wait in long lines. An experience unique to brown, lower income neighborhoods in America. Long lines are a form of voter suppression BTW. And screaming “voter fraud” is part of the Republican playbook.
The fact is all 50 states +1 already have existing mail vote options.
D.C. is not a state but can vote in the presidential election… I’m full of fun facts these days. I like facts.
We can’t sit and wait for congress to take action on mail vote.
We know they have a bad track record of getting much done over there.

Every state sets their own rules. While these options are not available to everyone in every state, the “excuse” absentee restrictions are loosening for Covid-19. I’ve done the research on 51 mostly awful government websites with buried links and hard-to-find forms. I hope my user friendly website helps navigate more people to cast their ballot, while preventing harm from Covid-19. Let’s show the world where America’s heart is in the popular vote and most importantly in an electoral landslide.
Do keep in mind there are forms and deadlines. Dot your i’s and follow instructions. Do not let them suppress your right to vote.
